New Motor Sport Festival for Kirklees
Holmfirth has been announced as the location for an exciting new motor sport festival at the event’s launch last week. The Holmfirth Motor Sport Festival will take place on 26-28 June 2020 and includes a timed hill climb competition on closed public roads together with a wide range of exciting displays, activities, demonstrations and other entertainment for all the family.
The organisers, Holmfirth Motor Sport Festival Ltd, said “We intend this to be one of the premier motor sport festivals in the northern part of the country and, assisted by local Two Peaks Motor Club, are planning a prestige event with an exciting array of classic and pre-war racing cars tackling the new Wolfstones Hill Climb course, as well as demonstration runs by some of the more exciting display cars. There will also be aerobatic flying displays, static displays of rare classic, race, rally and super cars, hotrods, classic trucks, vintage tractors and earthmoving machinery, together with lots of other great entertainment for all the family including demonstrations by celebrity and local chefs, a vintage funfair, music, artisan trade stands, and much, much more to be announced over the coming weeks.
The website (www.holmfirthmsf.ltd) and Facebook page have only just gone live and we have already had a tremendous reaction to them.”
