Bookkeeper
Sheards is a fast-paced accountancy firm driven by a welcoming friendly team. We are looking to complete our VAT & Bookkeeping team with a bookkeeper who has good organisational skills, an eye for detail, feels comfortable liaising with clients via telephone and face to face, and is eager and willing to learn.
The ideal candidate would excel in data entry and be willing to develop & improve on cloud accounting skills, as we pride ourselves as a firm leading the use of digital records. As such we use a variety of in-house software such as QuickBooks, Dext Prepare, Xero etc. It would therefore be advantageous for applicants to have experience using these products (although training would be provided as required, whether that be specific software training, structured learning, or an apprenticeship). The job role would include maintaining client records, producing reports for clients, managing the clients’ VAT accounts and submitting their VAT returns. Some CIS experience is also preferable.
Client relationships are very important at Sheards, so we are looking for the right candidate who is able to reflect our values, and be a friendly extension of our client’s finance team.
This is a full-time role, although someone looking for part-time hours would be considered.
