Assistant Garden Centre Manager
Working alongside the Manager and the owners, you will be an important part of the team and must as a minimum have previous supervisor experience in a garden centre or similar retail outlet, and/or a horticultural qualification.
On a daily basis you will ensure the centre is well stocked and presented. Give an excellent and friendly customer experience. Have the ability to offer planting and growing advise.
You will also possess good people skills, be able to work as part of a team, be self motivated to achieve goals with attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
You must have good plant knowledge to assist with ordering and have EPOS/computer input experience.
This is a hands-on role, hard-work and involves working outdoors throughout the seasons. A full time role but part time would be considered, and will include weekends. Salary dependent on experience.
We are an evolving independent family run centre with a busy bistro café and are known for our personal service and range of good quality plants and products.
